About
Yugiri was the first Au Ra Schwarzwaelder met since she had left Ishgard. She may have kept her face hidden, but her tail and horn-shaped hood made it undeniable. Schwarzwaelder could barely
contain her excitement when they exchanged words for the first time, but the predicament the shinobi found herself in made her difficult to approach with more superficial questions. On the
other hand, Yugiri was surprised to find a solitary Raen already living in Eorzea, but dared not ask where she came from. This awkwardness eventually generated an uncomfortable distance
between the two women.
To attempt to bridge the gap, Yugiri offered to teach her the tricks of her trade, which she readily accepted. Thancred would often observe their lessons from afar to compare her techniques to what he had learned in Limsa Lominsa.
While daggers might not be her most favored weapon, Schwarzwalder would regularly apply these lessons in her duties. The most notable example would be after the fall of the IVth Imperial Legion in Zadnor, where she would help the Bozjan Resistance in scouting neighboring provinces to learn of the fate of the enemies she faced on the Dalriada. She’s also accompanied Thancred and the Shadowhunter on a number of missions in Garlean territory.
The blades she wields are made of white auracite, which allow her to store large quantities of aether should she need to resort to spellcasting in an emergency, or fell an Ascian if need be. The mask is mainly a precaution against the infamous Black Rose gas, as rumors of its production are still roaming.
